Burchery - E-Commerce Meat Website
Project Overview
Burchery is a mobile e-commerce application for ordering fresh meat products. Designed with user-friendly navigation and real-time inventory updates, it ensures customers can browse, select, and purchase premium cuts straight from their device.
My Role
Mobile Developer responsible for implementing core shopping flows, cart management, and secure payment integration.
Challenges & Solutions
Ensuring data synchronization between client and server, optimizing list rendering for large catalogs, and integrating secure payment gateways within native Android.
Project Development Process
Requirement Gathering
Collaborated with stakeholders to define product catalog structure, user flows, and payment requirements.
UI/UX Design
Created wireframes and prototypes in Figma focusing on ease of browsing and quick checkout.
API Integration
Built RESTful endpoints in Java to fetch product data and handle orders, secured with JWT.
Frontend Implementation
Developed RecyclerViews for product lists and implemented XML layouts for responsive design.
Testing & Deployment
Conducted unit and UI tests, fixed bugs, and published to Google Play Store.
